Welcome!

Exchange 2010 Pilot!

Well, today I have finally launched my Exchange Email system publicly. Yes, I have it externally aware pointing internally. I am in a Pilot testing mode now. All is working fine, OWA, internal MAPI for outlook, and my load balancer. I am using Barracuda for load balancing. There is an issue with smart phones trying to get emails. They connect and authenticate to the server but are unable to see any emails after successfully connecting to the server? This is a work in progress. I will blog my results when I resolve this matter.

Mexican Riveria!!

Just returned from a  trip on the Royal Carribean cruise line, the Mariner of the Seas! Man it was big, holds 3,114 people plus their staff of 1200! With a total length of 1,020 feet and a weight of 138,000 tons. Was designed with enhanced staterooms, expanded dining options and state-of-the-art recreational facilities like a rock-climbing wall, ice-skating rink and basketball court.
Had lots of fun I would recommend the ATV rides in Puerta Vallarte or the horse back riding there. We only did the ATV this time, but last time we went Horse back riding, that was great and very cool stuff.

Bike Ride Friday!!

Well today was my favorite time of the week, Biking!! We had a great time today. The weather was great and we went 18 miles. We stopped for breakfast in between and peddled back. We do vary our rides often, one being harder than the other, but breakfast is always included!

Exchange 2010 went well!

To All,

I enjoyed my class very much and worked very hard throughout the week. I put in some long hours, mostly an average day was 12h but went as long as 18h one night. That is me working my own hours out of class, class was 8-5. Some basic concepts learned

0) Loading and prepping the Exchange Server 2010 on a 2K8 R2 64bit OS

1) Configuring the Database Availability groups

2) Configuring the Cassary

3) Load balancing

Well I have applied this to my servers and have it up and running, cool stuff.  Quickstart.com was the learning center I used.

Weekend Business, Tech school

Well, I have travelled out to San Diego this past week and I really love it! Of course it was work related and I was in Tech school class working hard on my new Exchange 2010 project. I learned a lot from my Quick Start class. I would highly recommend this class as a tool to improve your Tech skills. In my case, Exchange 2010 was the objective. I tried learning all I could in a short 5 day course. I believe that this product is very good surpassing my old Exchange setup.

2010 has many new features that 2007 Exchange doesn’t have. A lot of tools used in 2007 were using PowwerShell, but in 2010, they use the GUI interface for almost all tasks! It makes my life so much easier!

Anyway, without boring all with Techno language, I will master this new task at hand and implement it while keeping my old Exchange 2003 up and running.

*Special note, I really enjoyed staying at the Hilton last week, it was pleasantly nice and comfortable.

Biking

Well back on the road again! Biking without a flat tire is a very good feeling to one, at end the day. On another note, my Bowling ball has been fixed and I am quite surprised and pleased. They have extended the hole reach, but it feels very comfortable and natural. I know there has been a lot of work done to it without asking for a new ball in its place, but all is well enjoy your day!

Biking Today!!

Today, like every Friday that rolls around, my friend and I ride our bicycles through Rancho Cucamonga well into Upland. It is at 16 miles ride without any variances. Today we did a little more. Unfortunately on my way back I have started to get a flat? So being tire in all, I did gather my strength up to go and get it fixed. It was a Beautifully Nice day for a bike ride, please don’t let flats tires get your biking  spirits down, I didn’t!
Regards

Bowling adjustments

Well, seeing that my bowling ball was not working out for me, I had the thumb re-drilled. They re-measured it and found the grasp to be 1/4 inch off as well as the thumb hole needed to be drilled straighter than the angle that was on it. I haven’t tried the new fit out yet, but i am looking forward to it.
Cheers!

April 25th, 2010

Another fantastic day! Today I went bowling to try and break my new bowling ball in. Game went well, but I need to work on getting the hang of this ball, it hooks to much.
