Today I have finished a piece of the puzzle that had me stumped for weeks! How to export and import Mailboxes in Exchange 2010 to a PST file? Well, after reading many articles I received little pieces here and there on how to do this, but I must say no one has it right and clear. Yes, the Role groups have to be in play and roles have to be applied to the group’s roles, but OBJECT rights is where this was lacking.
I put all gathered references together and the only piece that were lacking were the permissions for the OBJECT to extract to a PST file using powershell on the 64bit server. Without boring all and shedding light to all Exchange people, I will cut to the chase. Rights permission is what it was looking for when using the POWERSHELL app. Yes, once powershell is opened, you right click the task ICON and select run as admin. You then re -run your command: Import-mailbox –identy targetmailbox –pstfolderpath “path to pst” That did it for me. I was very surprised and pleased, all at the same time when this worked for me the very first time. I tested this out again with my other CAS server and it worked the same, fine!. I hope this helps anyone searching for this solution. Of course, I forgot to mention that Microsoft has said this is an issue and will be correcting this with the next Exchange 2010sp1 release.
Take care all, and thanks for all your comments.

I must say that I have never seen the Pageant of the Master in Laguna, CA? We went this weekend and I was impressed! Yes, the amount of work put into this outdoor play was really amazing. The Pageant of the Master is based around people who sign up for free and become part of their Murals. They start of slowly by showing you how they place each person inside the Paintings. They have assisted props to hold them still. They then go through their painting displays in deep, all the while live people are in them. This all takes place outside in a stadium. I brought my binoculars to look closer as it is unbelievable to perfection. The next day we went to the Sawdust festival where there was allot of jewellery to buy as well as painting and things. Finished the day walking on their beach and had lunch overlooking the beach. A Wonderful day!

I am so happy today, this is my morning! I have successfully resolved the issue I was having with Exchange 2010 Activesync and Smartphone’s. The solution was not to require the SSL certificate. Without going into too much detail, that was the solution I found and it was right in my text book all along. Pays to read!!

Well, today I have finally launched my Exchange Email system publicly. Yes, I have it externally aware pointing internally. I am in a Pilot testing mode now. All is working fine, OWA, internal MAPI for outlook, and my load balancer. I am using Barracuda for load balancing. There is an issue with smart phones trying to get emails. They connect and authenticate to the server but are unable to see any emails after successfully connecting to the server? This is a work in progress. I will blog my results when I resolve this matter.

Just returned from a trip on the Royal Carribean cruise line, the Mariner of the Seas! Man it was big, holds 3,114 people plus their staff of 1200! With a total length of 1,020 feet and a weight of 138,000 tons. Was designed with enhanced staterooms, expanded dining options and state-of-the-art recreational facilities like a rock-climbing wall, ice-skating rink and basketball court.
Had lots of fun I would recommend the ATV rides in Puerta Vallarte or the horse back riding there. We only did the ATV this time, but last time we went Horse back riding, that was great and very cool stuff.
